111th General Assembly Called Into Special Session by Governor Lee

Today, Monday, August, 10, 2020, the 111th General Assembly will enter into Special Session. During this session the General Assembly will look to tackle the following:

  • Legislation to hold harmless businesses, churches, schools, and civic organizations against frivolous COVID-19 lawsuits

  • Telemedicine/telehealth legislation

  • Enhance penalties for those who intentionally harm our first responders

  • Strengthen laws to ensure rioters and looters don't continue to occupy state property
